Description

Would you like practical tools to help people of all ages with ADHD harness their natural potential, reduce stress and get things done?

In this dynamic and interactive training, Dr. Sharon Saline helps you navigate the confusing mix of biology, behavior and emotion that characterise ADHD in teens and adults. This complexity, in addition to issues like racism, gender identity, addiction and trauma, affects how clinicians, educatiors and healthcare providers make diagnostic assessments, identify co-occurring conditions and create effective treatment interventions.

Dr. Saline will review current research and statistics about ADHD, delineate neurological factors thatcharacterize ADHD, explore common co-existing conditions and offer innovative, practical strategies forimproving executive functioning skills. Based on her unique, strength-based approach–the “5 Cs ofADHD™,” Dr. Saline shares a variety of thoughtful and practical solutions to teach kids, adults and theirfamilies essential tools for daily living that reduce stress and increase positivity. Her collaborative method integrates mindfulness, cognitive therapy, internal family systems and positive psychology. Innovative tools to improve focus, organization, planning and motivation will also be covered.

Throughout the workshop, exercises designed to understand living with ADHD at all ages along with case examples will offer participants the opportunity to conceptualise clinical work that goes beyondmedication and crisis management. You will leave this didactic and experiential training with tangible strategies for identifying and nurturing cognitive and social-emotional strengths in your clients with ADHD.
