In this dynamic and interactive workshop based on current research about the developing brain, ADHD and neurodivergence, Dr. Sharon Saline, clinical psychologist, author and consultant, will show you how and why executive functioning skills are critical to child and adolescent growth, productivity and social-emotional learning.

Offering rare insights into how kids honestly think and feel about living with complex ADHD, Dr. Saline shares a variety of helpful and practical solutions based on her unique, strength-based approach –the 5 Cs of ADHD™.

She will show you how to improve essential daily living skills including motivation,planning, persistence and focus.

Her collaborative approach integrates mindfulness, cognitive therapy and positive psychology whileteaching effective tools to increase productivity, nurture social relationships and foster growth mindsets.

Working together as a family, you’ll be able to create successful strategies for overcoming typical ADHD frustrations related to household routines, homework, disorganisation and pushback.

By including your kids in the process of forming solutions to daily issues, you’ll increase their buy-in and their motivation. Dr. Saline will also address how anxiety affects student motivation and offer ways tolower stress and boost resilience. Armed with these strategies, you will not only cultivate family cooperation and the completion of tasks but also expand your child’s competence and independence.

This presentation will be both didactic and experiential in nature.

About the Presenter:
Sharon Saline, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 30 years’ experience.  She is a top expert on ADHD, anxiety, learning differences and mental health challenges as well as their impact on school and family dynamics.

A veteran workshop facilitator and lecturer with an international audience, Dr Sharon is known for her ability to deliver her learning objectives impactfully with her didactic and experiential style. Her book is the recipient of two highly-acclaimed awards: Best Book Awards winner by American Book Fest and the Gold Medal from Moms’ Choice Awards.

Dr. Saline is a regular contributor to ADDitude.com and PsychologyToday.com.

She is a featured expert on MASS Appeal on WWLP-TV and a part-time lecturer at the Smith School forSocial Work. Dr. Saline is also a member of ADDitude Magazine’s ADHD Specialist Panel. She currently lives with her family in Northampton, MA - not Northampton, WA (home to many of our talented AFL players).
