About
I am a speech therapist with over 20 years experience working with children with developmental delay, disability and Autism. Originally from the UK, I trained and worked in London before moving to Perth in 2011.
I am passionate about delivering supports which celebrate each individual's set of strengths, interests and differences. In my work I aim to work alongside families to create meaningful and impactful change.
I particularly enjoy working with neurodivergent children and their families to support authentic connection and communication. I provide mobile therapy services within 30 minutes drive from Bayswater.
I am an accredited PACT Practitioner and Trainer for Australia and New Zealand.
I am trained in a number of approaches including; Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT), Gestalt Language Processing, Hanen, SCERTS (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, Transactional Supports), DIR Floortime, SOS Approach to feeding as well as having attended a range of Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) trainings.
Referral information
Piccolo accepts self-referrals and can provide services to families with self-managed or plan managed NDIS Plans, children with Chronic Disease Management Plans and families paying privately.
