Registrations are now open for CliniKids’ next online autism seminar – Current Best Practice in Supports for Autistic Children: The Approach, Experience, and Outcomes to Strive For – on Thursday May 29, 5-6pm (AWST).
In this presentation, Professor David Trembath (CliniKids Honorary Research Fellow and Professor of Speech Pathology at Griffith University) will explain:
• What best practice looks like in supporting the learning, participation and wellbeing of autistic children and their families
• the appropriate use of evidence-based supports
• what the experience of accessing supports should feel like for children and families
• what outcomes are most relevant
Professor Trembath will offer candid, evidence-based, observations and practical suggestions regarding what does and does not help, and what can be done better, drawing on evidence from National Guidelines and Frameworks, and insights from over 20 years of clinical-research experience working with children, families, and people who seek to support them.
The presentation will cater for families, professionals, and policy makers, and explain how we can all work together to support the best possible outcomes for each child and family.
