There are a small number of developmental paediatricians in Perth and a huge demand for appointments. Most are at capacity and have closed their books.
If you are in that situation, I am so sorry. I understand how stressful this process is – you just want your child to be healthy and happy.
Inclusion in the Perth Kids Hub directory does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation of any practitioner, service, or organisation.
Every family’s needs are different, and we encourage you to explore the guidance included on Perth Kids Hub on how to find the right fit for your child and family.
Cub Care’s Behaviour, Attention and Hyperactivity Clinic is a telehealth clinic which I’ve received glowing feedback from parents and GPs on the quality and efficiency of the service for non-complex ADHD diagnosis and medication titration.
Changes to stimulant prescription requirements in WA mean that telehealth paediatricians and psychiatrists are now a viable alternative.
They have a very easy online booking system where you can see appointment availability, book an appointment and submit your referral once secured.
According to their website their clinic is “primarily designed for those aged 5 to 16 who attend school and do not have previously identified complex neurodevelopmental disabilities, which are better addressed by an in-person paediatrician and multidisciplinary team”.
There are periods where no appointments are listed and it says “more appointments available soon”. Don’t despair – just check regularly as they usually add new appointments within days.
They are now also providing an Allergy and Immunology Initial Consult with Perth-based Dr Christiane Remke.
