Appointments for assessments are available with less than one month wait, as Alicia has just opened up extra time for assessments. For children and adolescent assessments the teacher and parent forms are sent to commence the assessment process within 48 hours of booking. A parent session (online or in person) will be booked prior to the main assessment date for background information and parent observation interview, followed by the child assessment at the South Fremantle Practice

As parents we want to understand our children's behaviour, identify unmet needs and support them to thrive. If you have noticed sensory sensitivities, social interaction and communication differences or repetitive behaviours or you are worried about their development, you may want to seek an Autism Assessment. As a parent with lived experience of neurodiversity I make sure all child assessments are positive, fun and play based in my local South Fremantle practice. The adolescent and adult assessments can be done either in person or online. I want you to feel welcome and my aim is for this to be as easy a process as possible so this is a neuro-affirming assessment that focuses on identifying needs, strengths and building understanding and support.

I use standardised measures for all the assessments and follow the Australian national guidelines for Autism diagnosis. The report will be finalised within 4 weeks of the assessment date and can be used towards application for NDIS if required. While the assessment it's self is neuro-affirming, the full report provided for NDIS purposes will also include any differences for identification of needs and funding and support purposes. Reports will also contain identification of level if a diagnosis is made. Please note, a diagnosis and report does not guarantee acceptance by NDIS but forms part of the application for support. For adults the report is optional.

My name is Alicia and I am a Senior Clinical Psychologist with over 16 years experience and I have completed extensive training in Autism and ADHD Diagnosis and Assessment in addition to my Clinical Training. I also have a special interest in how Autism presents in females and highly masking individuals.

If you have not yet assessed for ADHD, I will also include a complimentary ADHD assessment with every Autism Assessment due to the high co-occurrence of these neurotypes

Referral information
