    Transforming child parent relationships

    Description

Sometimes, as parents, we get to a point where we feel lost, stuck and unsure of the way forward. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by your child’s big emotions, meltdowns, or daily power struggles, this is your map forward to create positive changes.

Transforming Child-Caregiver Relationships Through Play is a self-paced, online workshop/course designed to help you feel calmer, and more confident and connected to your child, using simple, evidence-based techniques from play therapy and filial therapy (from the comfort of home).

This course is created by Verity, a Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist, artist, parent, and grandparent with decades of experience supporting children and families. Her approach is warm, practical, and grounded in real life, blending professional expertise with deep understanding of the realities of parenting. Verity brings her deeply informed, compassionate support tailored to each child’s unique world through into this one-of-a-kind course.

    You’ll be supportively guided to:
Understand what play really is and why it matters for emotional development
Learn the foundations of play therapy and filial (family) therapy
Create intentional home playtimes that reduce stress and strengthen connection
Learn the tools to respond to big emotions, and set limits and boundaries, with calm, clarity and confidence.
This course is for real life, for busy families, tired parents, and children with big hearts and nervous systems that need some extra support and care.

    What you’ll gain:
Practical, easy-to-use play techniques you can apply at home straight away
Greater confidence in responding to emotions and behaviour
A stronger sense of trust and connection with your child
Less overwhelm, more calm and clarity
Hope, guidance, and a sense that you’re not doing this alone
    Live weekly support (optional)

When you purchase this course, you will get lifetime access to the recorded modules, as well as the option to connect directly with Verity online, every Wednesday evening (6:30-7:30pm AWST) during WA school terms.

    Who this course is for:
This workshop is ideal for parents and caregivers who:
Feel unsure how to respond to big emotions or behaviours
Want to feel more connected to their child
Are tired of surface-level advice and want gentle, practical guidance
Are looking for support that is practical, non-judgemental and effective.
