Is your child bright but struggling? Racing ahead in some areas but hitting walls in others? Sometimes the most capable kids are the hardest to figure out and the not-knowing is exhausting for everyone.
At Thought Focus Psychology and Assessments, I offer psychological assessments for children and adolescents that help make sense of what's really going on. Whether you're wondering about ADHD, autism giftedness, a learning difficulty like dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, or a combination of these, a thorough assessment can give you and your child's school a clear picture to work from.
You'll come away with real answers, a clear path forward, and a report that works as a practical tool for teachers, for home, and for your own understanding.
Referral information
Booking with Thought Focus is straightforward — no referral is required to get started, and you are welcome to reach out directly to discuss whether an assessment or therapy might be the right fit for your child.
To access Medicare rebates for therapy sessions, your child's GP can provide a Mental Health Treatment Plan, which entitles your family to a set number of rebated sessions. For assessments, no referral is needed and Medicare rebates do not apply, though some private health funds may provide partial coverage depending on your level of cover.
Self managed NDIS participants are also welcome.
