Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) was originally developed by Cornell University for use in residential care. It has since been adapted to help caregivers respond effectively to emotional distress and behavioural challenges at home (TCI-Families™).

TCI-Families™ complements programs like Tuning in to Teens™ by focusing on what to do in the moment, especially during high-stress situations.
We offer the program to individual families (1:1) and in groups of families (on demand).
Cindy Evans (Clinical Nurse Specialist)
Cindy is a Clinical Nurse Specialist with more than 19 years’ experience supporting children, young people and families. In her roles at Perth Children’s Hospital, she is recognised as a subject matter expert in behavioural support and neuroaffirming care, with additional expertise in parenting strategies and adolescent mental health.
Cindy works collaboratively with parents and caregivers to develop practical strategies tailored to their family, helping to reduce conflict, navigate challenging behaviours and strengthen relationships.
She also works directly with young people to build practical skills for managing ADHD and other everyday challenges. Her approach is compassionate and strengths-based, helping young people find realistic strategies that work for them.
Alongside her nursing qualifications, Cindy holds a Graduate Diploma of Teaching and is currently completing a Master of Mental Health Nursing.
