Hi, I'm Kathryn, a speech language therapist and founder of Southern Stars Therapy Services.  I offer specialised speech language therapy services tailored to individuals of all ages across Australia.

From my practice within Subiaco's Baby Steps Clinic, I provide support to newborns, children and teens for:

My personalised approach aims to empower each client to communicate confidently and effectively, regardless of age or condition. Together, we'll work towards achieving your communication and swallowing goals.

My background in acute hospital work, particularly with ICU and general ward patients, has provided me with a unique perspective on the intersection of medical and community aspects of speech therapy. This experience was further enriched by my role in conducting video swallow studies and collaborating with an allied health care team to support the community/ healthcare team in providing seamless care to people across sectors.

As an advocate for early intervention, my passion was cemented while pursuing a master's degree in early childhood Intervention, specialising in Paediatric Audiology. This built upon my dual undergraduate degree in Speech Therapy and Audiology from South Africa, an honours qualification that, although I no longer practice Audiology, remains a cornerstone of my clinical expertise.

With years of experience and a solid knowledge base in speech language therapy. I bring a unique blend of skills and understanding to Southern Stars Therapy Services. I have a special interest in neurology and swallowing disorders. This comes from both a personal lived experience and clinical interest in the brain, as a speech pathologist. I am dedicated to providing comprehensive care and evidence-based interventions to individuals of all ages.
