Rising Family OT is a Perth-based occupational therapy practice providing holistic, family-centred support for children, parents and families.

With over 18 years of occupational therapy experience, we understand that children develop and thrive within the context of their relationships, environments and everyday experiences.

Our approach looks beyond individual skills or behaviours to understand the whole child — including sensory processing, nervous system regulation, developmental needs, relationships, environment and the demands of everyday life.

We provide collaborative, neuroaffirming and evidence-informed occupational therapy that helps children and families build understanding, capacity and practical strategies for everyday life.

🌻 Paediatric Occupational Therapy

We support children with a range of developmental, sensory and functional needs, including:

Our therapy is individualised and strengths-based, with a focus on helping children participate meaningfully in the activities and environments that matter to them.

Sometimes supporting the child starts with supporting the adults around them.

We work alongside parents to help them better understand their child's sensory and nervous system needs, recognise what may be contributing to challenging moments, and develop practical strategies that work within real family life.

Our approach considers the interaction between the child, parent, relationships, environment and everyday demands — recognising that regulation doesn't happen in isolation.

Support may include sensory processing, co-regulation, nervous system regulation, parental capacity, environmental adaptations and strengthening connection within the family.

We provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to understand a child's strengths, needs and everyday functioning.

We provide education, resources and professional development for parents, educators and professionals.

Topics include sensory processing, nervous system regulation, child development, emotional wellbeing, co-regulation and creating environments that support children's participation and development.

Our goal is to translate evidence and occupational therapy knowledge into practical strategies that can be used in everyday life.
