My name is Evonne and I am a qualified social worker and play therapist. I have 20 years experience working in the children and families government sectors both in WA and the UK as both a practitioner and trainer.

My expertise is working with children and families and this is informed by my post graduate training in professional social work practice development and advanced play therapy practice.

I am also a member of the AASW  (Australian Association of Social Work and APTA (Australian Play Therapy Association).

Child Centred Play Therapy is a theoretically-based, age-appropriate approach to child therapy that builds on the normal communication style of children.

Therapists strategically use play therapy to help children express what is troubling them when they don't have the verbal language to express their thoughts & feelings. In play therapy, toys are like the child's words and play is the child's language.
