Updated 7 July 2023: Dr Stefan has recently moved to a new office in Subiaco. Her Facebook page provides the most up-to-date information and she regularly shares helpful resources on her page.
She provides the following advice:
"Private sector specialists are fewer in numbers and inundated with enquiries, but not all children need to immediately see a paediatrician or psychiatrist. Excluding developmental or medical factors is of essence, as is therapeutic intervention; these can be discussed with the family GP.
Although over the years people have moved away from public services, WA actually has very good and very well-resourced child and adolescent services, which should not be avoided when help is needed."
