October School Holiday Program Supporting Autistic Children and Teens (5-18 years)

Description

Ready for adventure and fun these school holidays?

The Telethon Holiday Makers Program (THMP) is Spectrum Space's school holiday program for autistic children and young people aged 5-18 years. Designed around the interests, strengths, and support needs of participants, THMP provides engaging opportunities for social connection, shared experiences, and meaningful holiday fun in a supportive and inclusive environment.

What is the Telethon Holiday Makers Program?

THMP combines a range of exciting excursions, incursions, special interest activities, creative experiences, and community-based outings, giving  young people opportunities to explore new interests, connect with like-minded peers, and build confidence through shared experiences.

Our experienced team creates welcoming environments where autistic children and young people can participate in ways that work for them. Activities are designed to support choice, autonomy, social connection, and enjoyment while recognising and celebrating individual strengths.

What to Expect

Across the program, participants get the chance to:

  • Connect with other autistic children and young people who share similar interests
  • Explore special interests and discover new hobbies
  • Participate in engaging community outings and experiences
  • Build confidence, independence, and social connections
  • Enjoy a range of creative, active, and interest-based activities
  • Spend their school holidays in an environment designed with neurodiversity in mind

Program Fees

Program schedules, activity information, locations, session options, eligibility requirements, and current pricing are available on the Spectrum Space website.

NDIS and Funding: Attendance may be covered by your child's NDIS plan, depending on funding and budget, so it's worth checking with your plan manager. Spectrum Space is unable to support NDIA-managed plans. Excursion and incursion fees are paid privately and sit outside NDIS funding.

Registration

Families interested in participating are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).

For new participants, a Meet & Greet may be required to help our team understand your child's interests, preferences, and support needs before attendance.

Places are limited and often fill quickly, so early registration is recommended.

Why Families Choose THMP

Beyond keeping the holidays covered, families tell Spectrum Space this program helps their kids:

  • Build friendships with like-minded peers
  • Explore special interests through engaging activities
  • Develop confidence and social skills in a supportive environment
  • Enjoy structured, predictable routines that reduce anxiety
  • Improve emotional regulation and physical coordination through guided play
