About the role:
As an Occupational Therapist in the Functional Therapy team, you will be conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate sensory, motor, self-care and developmental skills,
Develop intervention plans based on assessment findings, participant goals, and strengths/interests.
Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and other key stakeholders to provide multidiscipinary support to your participants
Write high-level Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA) for Paediatric age ranges that provide insight into performance and capacity for activities of daily living
Provide education and support to families on therapeutic strategies that can be transferred/implemented into the home and everyday environment
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in accordance with professional standards.
Contribute to the team and company growth through idenitfying any gaps in service delivery, providing feedback, and contributing to resource/service development to provide the best quality of service we can to our participants and families.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
Full registration (no limitations) with the AHPRA.
Experience in a Paediatric Occupational Therapy setting
Working with Children Check, WA (WWCC)
Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
Driver's license.
Technology literate (zoom telehealth platforms, microsoft suite etc).
Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable:
Designing and facilitating group programs
First Aid & CPR Certificate
Lived experience with neurodivergence or disability
