My name is Lara Steel and I'm a Registered Psychologist with a passion for supporting neurospicy families. My approach is built on a foundation of evidence-based psychological practice, systems theory, and the most important qualification of all: the real-world, lived experience of parenting my own neurodivergent children. I know that theory is useless if it doesn't work at 6 PM on a Tuesday when everyone is tired and hungry!
As a Registered Psychologist and a parent of neurospicy kids myself, I provide practical, judgment-free coaching to help you decode your child's unique brain. We move beyond generic advice that doesn't fit your family to build a personalised "Family Playbook" of strategies that work with your family's system, not against it. Our goal is to reduce the daily chaos and rediscover the joy and connection in your family life.

Medicare Rebates are available with a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) for you. If your child has a MHTP then speak to your GP about 2 relatable sessions being allocated to you as part of their plan.

Assessment for ADHD - School aged and Adult, Cannot prescribe medication.
Assessment for Autism - Adult only; Can provide a School aged preliminary diagnosis which can assist with initial learning accommodations but this may be insufficient for NDIA and Dept of Education due to their departmental policies.
Please note: I work with parents and families. I do not provide ongoing individual sessions for children under 14yrs of age. However I will work with the family as a whole and may have some individualised sessions with family members under 14yrs if required, as part of the family systems work.
