At Hills Autism Assessment Service, families are at the heart of everything we do. Joanne Aamodt, our lead speech pathologist, brings over 30 years of experience working with children who have a wide range of communication needs. She partners closely with developmental paediatricians to provide thorough, thoughtful autism assessments that are designed to truly understand each child.
We use the ADOS-2, which is considered the gold standard for diagnosing autism. But more importantly, we take a collaborative approach — tailoring each assessment to your child’s individual strengths, challenges, and communication style. If needed, we include additional evaluations like speech and language to help build a complete picture.
Whether you're just starting to explore concerns or looking for clarity and next steps, we're here to support you with trusted expertise and genuine care. Our goal is to walk alongside families throughout the diagnostic journey, making sure you feel informed, understood, and supported.
