BPCS understands that our students' emotional and social development are the key to their intellectual growth and that without the ability to manage their emotions, handle stress, show empathy to others, take personal responsibility and manage themselves in a group, they will not effectively learn and grow to their potential.
We place great emphasis on the development of self-regulation, intrinsic motivation, empathy and social skills, and teaching and nurturing these qualities are at the heart of our practice.
Staff at BPCS monitor the development of their students’ emotional and social development very closely, helping them set and work towards personal goals each year, and reporting their progress both to their students and to their parents each semester in their personal report.
We see students who have been at BPCS for some time becoming self confident young people, who show initiative, take control in their collaboration and teamwork, and manage conflict and debate with compassion and understanding for others.
