About
As a solo practice, referral to Axis Clinical Psychology ensures you will specifically work with Clinical Psychologist Brent Munro. Brent has 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their parents.
Brent spent 10 years at a non-government agency specialising in clinical psychology with children as a senior clinical psychologist, manager, and supervisor of other psychologists. He has also always worked in private practice for a portion of the week (now full-time), with expertise in working with children from 4 years of age and young people with general mental health, behavioural, schooling and emotional concerns.
The clinic is located in the Perth CBD and is exceptionally well-serviced by public transport. However, ample parking is also nearby, with ready access to lifts and a comfortable wait room for your family. In addition, kids (and adults alike) love being in an office where they get a fantastic view of the city and Swan River.
If telehealth is preferred, Brent has been conducting zoom sessions with children and adolescents well before COVID led us to become used to this way of working. Whilst it is not his preferred way of working, he has developed many skills and strategies to engage your child or teenager using this distance-based method.
Brent draws on a broad range of evidence-based psychological therapy to provide a bespoke, specialised service, including:
o Cognitive behaviour therapy
o Parenting strategies and interventions
o Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing
o Schema therapy
o Dialectical behavioural therapy
o Psychodynamic psychotherapy and many more.
Referral information
Axis Clinical Psychology is $240.00 for each 50-minute session. Medicare rebate is applicable if referred by a GP via a Mental Health Plan.
We do accept non-GP referrals, which may attract a rebate through your private health provider — please contact them directly for information on costs.
All initial appointments are booked through email or phone calls. Subsequent bookings are made at the conclusion of sessions. You can cancel, reschedule or change appointments via email or phone call.

Clients can attend appointments either in person at our office located on Level 27, St Martin’s Tower, 44 St Georges Terrace, Perth 6000 or via telehealth.
