Description
Carmel is an Occupational Therapist at Anteris Therapy Services who is offering Occupational Therapy services for self and plan managed NDIS participants, primarily servicing Central Perth and the Perth Hills areas.
Carmel has 12 years of experience in the WA disability sector. My areas of specialty include Home Modifications, Assistive Technology prescription, complex care, functional assessments, self-care, daily living, and independent living solutions.
My passion is in supporting participants with physical and intellectual disabilities, as well as supporting participants and their support networks to facilitate inclusion in the everyday activities that are important to them. My intention in starting my own company was to build strong and lasting relationships with participants and their support networks.
I have completed training in Bobath/Neurodevelopmental therapy, DIR Floortime, Postural Care/Assessment, Home Modifications prescription, Task Analysis, Sensory Processing, Manual Handling, So Safe (Protective Behaviours), and Toe Walking.

My passion is supporting families in a holistic way and considering all their goals/needs, and for that reason am passionate about upskilling participants themselves, as well as supporting the participants family and the important people in their life. In some ways my approach encompasses case management.
