ActUP
Lessons run every Sunday afternoon at the Stirling Community Centre in Scarborough. We are looking to expand to other days. Parents and support workers are welcome to watch lessons.
ActUp is finally opening for all actors, performers, and DRAMAtics, of all abilities.
ActUp is a business which brings drama lessons to children and adults with disabilities. ActUp is run by a close-knit team which aims to bring confidence and energy, helping children and adults discover their creative side in a safe space.
Classes are no greater than 10 at a time, therefore all individuals access the attention and care they need, whilst basking in the spotlight.
ActUp offers
ActUp is run by Jasmine, who’s had years of experience working with disabilities, ranging from performing in Christmas shows, swim instructing and support work. Jasmine has experience in the performance sector, performing vocals in front of thousands and more intimate musicals such as The Little Mermaid. Jasmine has been volunteering in schools since she was 13, helping teach drama classes sometimes greater than 30!
ActUp prioritises a family and person-centred core, therefore parents and support workers are more than welcome to watch lessons which run every SUNDAY afternoon, whilst looking to expand to other days.
