This is a small group program designed and delivered by occupational therapists.
This group focuses on developing everyday skills for all things mealtimes. Whether your teen is working toward independence, or you want to up-skill their safety awareness this group will include:
– Planning meals: Understanding yours and other’s preferences.
– Budgeting and Shopping: Planning and sticking to a budget and shopping list.
– Knife skills and Safety: Practicing knife skills and planning meals that meet your teens independence level.
– Kitchen skills and safety: Graded to your teen’s needs.
Our goal is to provide your child a supported opportunity to learn new skills and be able to make simple, everyday meals with or without support.
Parents will be provided a booklet outlining their child’s skills, areas for supervision or support and an outline of strategies and skills their child can implement at home.
