Expressions of Interest in Rural & Regional WA Assessments
Clinical Psychologist Kelly Fullarton will be visiting Albany to complete a range of assessments from 26-30 August 2024.
Delighted to confirm this visit will be going ahead at the Albany Business Centre.
Kelly is also taking expressions of interest for regional assessments throughout Western Australia. A minimum number of bookings are required to make travel to an area viable.
Due to existing bookings through July and August, it is likely regional assessments will occur later in the year.

These are all private services, which means you are required to pay for the assessments. Prices will vary between providers.
Many of the conditions listed above commonly occur together so it can be helpful to ensure any assessments cover all of your concerns.
ADHD Assessment
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) has three presentations: Inattentive, Hyperactive and Combined. Psychologists can assess for ADHD, however only paediatricians and psychiatrists can initiate the prescription of stimulant medications.
Specific Learning Disorder with Impairment in Reading (Dyslexia)
Children with dyslexia often have difficulty connecting letters they see on a page with the sounds they make. Reading is slow and effortful.
Specific Learning Disorder with Impairment in Written Expression (Dysgraphia)
Handwriting difficulties resulting from challenges creating (and co-ordinating) the motor movements required to produce written letters and numbers. Motor Dysgraphia is assessed by an Occupational Therapist.
Specific Learning Disorder with Impairment in Mathematics (Dyscalculia)
A wide range of difficulties with maths, including weaknesses in understanding the meaning of numbers, and difficulty applying mathematical principles to solve problems.
Intellectual Disability
Intellectual Disability is a developmental disability that affects people’s abilities in learning, processing information, communicating, socialising and sometimes physical skills.
Intellectual Giftedness
The possession and use of outstanding natural abilities or aptitudes, in at least one ability domain to a degree that places an individual at least among the top 10% of age peers.
Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD)
DCD affects a person’s ability to learn and execute motor skills. This makes it difficult to perform common, everyday tasks, like doing up buttons, writing, catching a ball or riding a bike. It is assessed by an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist.
